Alarmed by the increasing excursions into high security space by Gurista patrols, and the boldness of the attacks, the Sukuuvestaa corporation has applied to the Buisiness Tribunal, for a Navy detachment to be stationed in the Otsabaira constellation. The Navy, with increasing interest toward capturing and studying Gurista technology, agreed to the request, and responded by forming the Caldari Navy Expeditionary Force.

The CNTF is a task force formed by the Caldari Navy, in response to increasing Gurista excursions into the Otsabaira constellation, under petition from the Sukuuvestaa corporation.

The CNEF is responsible for drafting and providing DED reports for Otsabaira; performing constellation-wide patrol sweeps and cataloguing and expunging Gurista strongholds within deadspace pockets. In addition the CNEF answers to the occassional aid request from the Sukuuvesta corporate police arm: the Peace and Order Unit, undertakes diplomatic missions under the Khanid - Caldari Navy partnership, catalogs wormhole chains in the constallation, and most importantly; undertakes excursions from its lowsec staging system in order to strike key Gurista installations in low and null security space.

The CNEF acts as a supplementary force for the Sukuuvestaa corporations police and security arm: the Peace and Order Unit, as well as the Sukuuvestaa corporations eyes and ears in Otsabaira, ensuring safety for it's citizens, as well as corporate assets. It also serves as a research arm detachment for the Caldari Navy, helping capture and confiscate Gurista tech for research and development, as well as managing colonial assets.
